Nackawic

Nackawic, New Brunswick, Canada

Nackawic is a New Brunswick town which is 65km west of Fredericton (the province’s capital). In the 2011 census the town had a population of 1,049 and in 1976 it was incorporated into a town.

The United Empire Loyalists were the first to settle here in 1784. They were given land grants to the families of soldiers who had fought with His Majesty’s Regiment of Queen’s Rangers during the American Revolutionary War.
